Skilled nursing facility (SNF)
A US facility providing 24-hour nursing care and rehabilitation, commonly called a nursing home.
A skilled nursing facility (SNF) provides licensed nursing care around the clock, along with rehabilitation services. In everyday speech, SNFs are usually called nursing homes. Canada’s equivalent is the long-term care home.
